Landscape Designer Antonia Bava Landscape Architects
Eric Arneson is a landscape designer at Antonia Bava Landscape Architects in San Francisco. He was first exposed to the applications of SUAS while taking a drone cinematography course at the Academy of Art University that focused on the video and film capabilities of drone technology. Arneson quickly realized that drones had a unique ability to improve the field of landscape architecture by giving designers a new perspective at which they could examine and document the land.
Arneson has since been incorporating drones into the office workflow at Antonia Bava Landscape Architects from site analysis and documentation of current projects to aerial photography for the marketing of built projects. He aims to stay at the cutting edge of technology and has also been experimenting with the use of 3D scanning and 3D printing in the design workflow.
Arneson also received an American Society of Landscape Architects Award for his conceptual design of a riverfront rehabilitation project in Healdsburg, California. He used drone mapping and photography to analyze the site and create before and after renderings of the design.
Arneson is a student of the Academy Of Art sUAS Program taught by Patrick Egan.
